Grilled Shrimp on Fire

(untested but advertised to be HOT!)

Serves 4

2 cups beer
1/2 cup chopped onion
4 garlic cloves
3 habanero chiles, halved and seeded
2 tbsp crab boil
10 whole allspice
1 tbsp. fresh ground pepper
2 lbs jumbo shrimp

Put all of the ingredients except the shrimp in a large Dutch oven. Cover and bring to a rolling boil.  Add the shrimp, reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 10 minutes. Let the shrimp cool in the liquid for about one hour. Serve at room temperature. Transfer shrimp to individual bowls and drizzle some of the cooking liquid on top.
